Bike to Work Day

Bike to Work Day, organized by the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition , takes place on Friday, May 21. Pedal to Market Square in Providence between 6:30 and 8:30 am for food and speeches, and return to the square between 4:30 and 6 pm for bike workshops and a blasting by What Cheer Brigade.

Bike Trains
The Coalition is offering bike trains to the events in Market Square. A bike train is a group of cyclists led by an experienced rider that stops at predetermined meeting points along a predetermined route. The bike train program offers safety in numbers and a chance for new bike commuters to ease into a routine with the help of seasoned riders. The West Bay route bisects Cranston via the Cranston Bike Path. Visit Bike Providence for more info. Here’s a map of the routes.
