  • Start Time: 07:00:00 PM
  • Finish Time: 09:00:00 PM

  • Short Description

Providence Children’s Museum and Explore Cranston present a free public screening of “Where Do the Children Play?” This thought-provoking documentary examines an issue of growing concern among pediatricians, mental health experts, educators and environmentalists: more and more children are growing up with few opportunities for unstructured play, especially outdoors.

Following the screening, a panel including Chris Hitchener, Roger Williams Park Zoo early childhood coordinator and Zoo Camp on the Move director; Janice O’Donnell, Providence Children’s Museum executive director; Steven Stycos, member of Friends of the Pawtuxet and the Cranston School Committee; and Dr. Jeanne Swen, Cranston family practice physician, will lead an audience discussion about the issues – some disturbing, some inspiring – explored in the film.

The film will be shown at
    William Hall Library
1825 Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905
